● Deutsches Institute fur Normung in its standard DIN 1045 (2001)- The French Standards Association (AFNOR), in
its standard NF A35-020 (1999).
● American Concrete Institute (A.C.I.) in its standard ACI 318.
● International Conference of Building Officials (I.C.B.O.), in its Uniform Building Code (UBC).
During construction in seismic zones, the splicing of steel bars is subject to the following constraints:
– American Concrete Institute (A.C.I.), in its standard ACI 318, Chapter 21.2.
– International Code (I.C.C), in its International Building Code (IBC) Section 1910
– International Conference of Building Officials (I.C.B.O.), in its Uniform Building Code (UBC),
Section 1921.
